Since its establishment in 1997, the Paris Photo 2024 Art Fair (7 November – 10 November 2024) has been considered a key event of the Parisian cultural scene. Every year, it brings together the most important French and international galleries and contemporary and modern photography publishers.

The vast exhibition complex was closed in 2020, but it hosted part of the Paris Olympic Games after the renovations were completed. This marked the most extensive intervention in the building since its construction for the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris, which is also reflected in the venue’s characteristic image, a combination of representative historical architectural elements and, for that time, innovative construction technology with concrete, iron, steel, and glass.

Paris Photo 2024 is hosting 240 exhibitors from 34 countries, with 195 galleries invited to the 27th edition of the fair. To celebrate the centenary of surrealism, the organisers have invited the American screenwriter and director Jim Jarmusch as the guest of honour. He will present a theme-based exhibition setting and participate in a public discussion.

P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute (P74 Gallery) started participating in international contemporary art fairs in 2009. Since then, the Institute has exhibited in fairs in New York, Basel, Budapest, and Rotterdam, and since 2014, we have been regularly invited to the largest European fair, ARCOmadrid, in Madrid. At this year’s Paris Photo fair, P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute is collaborating with Kodoji Press, an independent publishing project from Baden, Switzerland.

P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute is participating at the Paris Photo 2024 Art Fair with a series of art editions that will be presented for the first time, as well as editions of important artists with whom the Institute has collaborated in recent years, such as Polonca Lovšin, Špela Škulj, Sanja Iveković, Mladen Stilinović, etc… The fair will showcase the latest Artist Books editions (by Mina Fina, Dejan Habicht, Tadej Pogačar, Small but Dangers) and several specialist publications (P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E., SOG, Animals. Houses. People. Early Works).
